Charmeleon PFL 12 is a straightforward Stage 1 Fire-type attacker that would fit best in a budget or beginner Fire deck built around Fire Energy acceleration and steady mid-game pressure, especially in a Charizard evolution line where it serves as a stepping stone rather than a main attacker. Its single Fire Energy attack for 40 damage is energy-efficient, but 40 damage is quite low by competitive standards, making it underpowered compared to stronger Stage 1 Fire Pokémon or modern Charizard cards that offer higher damage output, better scaling attacks, or useful abilities. In most competitive formats, stronger alternatives like Charizard ex, Charizard from popular sets with energy acceleration, or even more aggressive Basic Fire attackers would be better choices.
