A Water-type deck focused on energy acceleration and early game pressure would benefit from including Barboach ASR 35 in its lineup. While Rain Splash's 40 damage output may not be the highest, its low energy cost makes it efficient for setting up knockouts on opposing basic Pokémon. However, in a competitive setting, there are better options available such as Seismitoad-EX, which offers more versatility and power with its Quaking Punch attack that disrupts the opponent's item cards. Barboach ASR 35 could see play in more casual or theme-based decks, but for a more competitive strategy, other Water-type Pokémon may be more effective.
