Stone Calendar is particularly beneficial in a ramp or control deck that aims to cast multiple spells in a single turn or utilize high-cost spells more efficiently. Decks that focus on a lot of low-cost spells, like tribal or combo decks, can also take advantage of its cost reduction. However, there are often better alternatives, such as Arcane Signet or Prismatic Lens, which provide mana acceleration and fixing without taking up a spell slot. While Stone Calendar can see play in niche scenarios, its relatively high cost and limited impact compared to more efficient mana sources may make it less desirable in competitive formats.
