Karona's Zealot, Creature — human cleric, designed by Alan Pollack first released in May, 2020 in the set Scourge and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
This card could be beneficial in a white-based control deck looking to protect key creatures or disrupt combat strategies. While Karona's Zealot offers a unique defensive ability, it may be situational compared to more versatile options like Selfless Spirit or Brimaz, King of Oreskos, which provide consistent protection or value. Its inclusion would depend on the specific strategy and meta of the deck, but it may not be a staple in competitive play due to its higher mana cost and limited impact.

If the target creature leaves the battlefield or stops being a creature before damage would be dealt, that damage is not redirected. For example, if you choose a 1/1 creature, then Karona’s Zealot would be dealt 3 damage, all 3 is dealt instead to the 1/1 creature, which then dies. If Karona’s Zealot would be dealt 3 damage again later in the turn, the 1/1 creature is no longer on the battlefield, so the damage is not redirected.
