Mornsong Aria would fit best in a mono‑black or black‑based control/combo deck that can exploit symmetrical effects better than the opponent, similar to how *Necropotence* or *Doomsday* decks leverage life as a resource. Since it turns every draw step into a *tutor* at the cost of 3 life while shutting off life gain and natural draws, it strongly favors decks that (1) win quickly once they assemble specific pieces (combo shells like Storm, Reanimator, or Bolas’s Citadel builds), (2) can operate on low life totals, and (3) don’t rely on incremental card draw. However, at three mana and symmetrical, it is extremely dangerous—giving your opponent guaranteed access to their best card every turn is usually worse than the benefit you gain unless you can win immediately or lock them out.
