Martyr of Spores, Creature — human shaman, designed by Dan Murayama Scott first released in Jul, 2006 in the set Coldsnap.
This card, Martyr of Spores, would be beneficial in a green-based aggro deck that focuses on playing multiple green cards and buffing up creatures quickly. While it can provide a significant boost to a target creature, there are potentially better options available such as Giant Growth or Aspect of Hydra which offer similar effects for a lower cost. However, Martyr of Spores could still see play in a deck that heavily relies on green cards and wants to have a versatile buff option available.

Each card that’s revealed to pay the cost remains revealed until the ability leaves the stack.

If one of the cards that’s revealed to pay the cost leaves its owner’s hand before the ability resolves, it stops being revealed, but the value of X is not affected.
