About Counterflux

Counterflux, Instant, designed by Scott M. Fischer first released in May, 2020 in the set Return to Ravnica and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.

A control deck in a blue-red color combination would benefit from including Counterflux in its deck, as it provides a powerful way to counter spells that can't be countered by other means. Casting a spell with overload doesn’t change that spell’s mana cost. You just pay the overload cost instead.

If you are instructed to cast a spell with overload “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t choose to pay its overload cost instead.
