Blacktek Whisperers (often confused as “Blackstone Greaves”) is a Runeblade legs equipment that benefits decks reliably dealing arcane damage each turn, making it best suited for aggressive or midrange Runeblades like Viserai, Briar, or Chane that consistently present arcane pings alongside physical attacks to turn on the +1 DEFENSE. Because Runeblades naturally fuse or create arcane damage through Runechants or non-attack actions, the conditional defense is fairly easy to enable, making it a solid defensive option in those builds. However, it competes with stronger generic leg options like Snapdragon Scalers (for explosive go‑wide turns), Spellbound Creepers (in formats where legal, for instant-speed play extension), or Grasp of the Arknight (arms slot but often prioritized for Runechant synergy), and even Fyendal’s Spring Tunic (chest) for overall value planning.
