A red aggressive deck that focuses on dealing damage quickly to the opponent's creatures would benefit from using Torrent of Lava, as it can clear the board of non-flying threats while still allowing your own creatures to survive. However, there are better options like Anger of the Gods or Pyroclasm that provide more consistent board control without the need for additional mana investment, making Torrent of Lava less likely to see play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
