About Poisonous Viper
Poisonous Viper, Reptile effect monster, designed by Konami first released in Dec, 2025 in the set No set.
“Poisonous Viper” would fit best in a burn/control or disruption-focused deck that can exploit giving the opponent a monster (for Kaiju-style removal, Enemy Controller plays, or cards that punish the opponent for controlling monsters) while also benefiting from self-banish or self-send effects to trigger backrow removal; it has mild synergy in decks that frequently banish their own monsters (like certain Chaos or Snake-themed strategies) to get the Spell/Trap pop without using the Normal Summon. However, the card is fairly slow and inefficient by modern standards: 500 damage per Standby Phase is negligible, the Special Summon is nice but not impactful, and backrow removal tied to banish/GY by effect is conditional compared to stronger, more flexible options like Cosmic Cyclone, Harpie’s Feather Duster, Lightning Storm, or even monsters like Dinowrestler Pankratops that provide immediate pressure and removal with better stats. Overall, while it has niche combo utility in creative rogue
