A deck that focuses on aggressive, fast-paced strategies with Pokémon that have high retreat costs might benefit from Balloon Berry DR 82 to help avoid losing Energy cards when retreating. However, there are likely better options available such as Switch or Escape Rope which provide more versatile utility and don't have the drawback of being discarded when the attached Pokémon is Knocked Out. Balloon Berry may have situational uses but overall may not see much play in competitive decks.
