About Woodlurker Mimic

Woodlurker Mimic, Creature — shapeshifter, designed by Franz Vohwinkel first released in May, 2020 in the set Eventide.

A deck that focuses on a black-green color combination, such as Golgari or Jund, would benefit from including Woodlurker Mimic in its lineup, especially if it already contains a good number of spells that are both black and green. While Woodlurker Mimic's ability to temporarily boost its power and toughness to 4/5 with wither can be useful in certain situations, there are potentially better cards available in Magic: The Gathering that offer more consistent and powerful effects for a similar mana cost. Whether or not Woodlurker Mimic should see play ultimately depends on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck it is being considered for.
