Punk Helmet (PFL 121) fits best in a Darkness-type deck that keeps a bulky Darkness Pokémon in the Active Spot to absorb hits and punish attackers—ideally something with high HP, healing options, or damage reduction so it can survive multiple attacks while spreading 40 damage back each time (for example, tank-style decks built around sturdy Darkness Pokémon). It’s more effective in slower, grindy metas where chip damage adds up and opponents rely on repeated attacks rather than one-hit knockouts. However, there are generally stronger Tool options: **Rocky Helmet** is more universal (works on any type and does the same 2 damage counters in older formats), **Fighting Fury Belt** (in Expanded) boosts HP and damage, and **Exp. Share**, **Choice Belt**, or modern damage-boosting Tools often provide more consistent value depending on format.
