This Elemental guardian, Oldhim, Grandfather of Eternity, would greatly benefit a control deck that focuses on Earth and Ice cards, providing both defensive and disruptive capabilities. While Oldhim's ability to prevent damage and manipulate the opponent's hand is useful, it may be overshadowed by more versatile cards like Frostfang, the Frostbite Blade, which offers a wider range of effects for a similar cost. However, Oldhim could still see play in niche decks that heavily rely on Earth and Ice synergy for added protection and disruption.
