About Improvised Arsenal

Improvised Arsenal, Artifact — equipment, designed by Leanna Crossan first released in Jan, 2026 in the set Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Improvised Arsenal fits best in a red-based artifact deck—especially an artifact-aggro or go-wide artifact strategy that can flood the board with Treasures, Clues, Food, Thopters, or cheap artifacts (such as in Commander with leaders like Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain; Osgir, the Reconstructor; or any Treasure-focused commander), because its power scales with artifact count and it can copy itself for long-game scaling; however, at three mana to cast, five mana to copy, and still requiring equip costs, it’s generally slow and inefficient compared to stronger options like Nettlecyst (which scales with artifacts and enchantments and auto-attaches), Cranial Plating (far more explosive and cheaper to move), All That Glitters (in red-white shells), or even Michiko’s Reign of Truth in artifact-heavy builds, making Improvised Arsenal likely too mana-intensive for competitive formats and only mildly playable in casual or Commander artifact token decks where you consistently control a large numbe
