Gruesome Menagerie, Sorcery, designed by Yeong-Hao Han first released in May, 2020 in the set Guilds of Ravnica and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck that focuses on low-cost creatures with powerful abilities, such as a tribal deck or an aggro deck, would benefit from using Gruesome Menagerie. However, there are better options available such as Rally the Ancestors or Return to the Ranks, which offer more flexibility and value for a similar mana cost. Gruesome Menagerie may not see much play in competitive formats due to its restrictive nature and better alternatives.

Gruesome Menagerie doesn’t target the cards to return. You choose them while it’s resolving. No players may take actions between the time you make each choice and the time you return them to the battlefield.

If you don’t have a creature card in your graveyard with one converted mana cost, you just continue on to the next.
