About David - Protective Snowboarder

David - Protective Snowboarder, Character storyborn ally, designed by None first released in Feb, 2026 in the set Winterspell.

David – Protective Snowboarder is best suited for aggressive Amber-based decks that rely on protecting low-cost questers and early lore generators, especially swarm or “go wide” strategies that flood the board with cheap characters and need to shield key pieces from early challenges; his 2-cost Bodyguard makes him a tempo-positive defensive tool that helps maintain board presence while continuing to quest. However, whether he should see play depends on the current card pool and meta—if stronger 2-cost Bodyguards or more efficient defensive options (such as characters with higher Willpower for the same cost, added utility effects, or better lore output) are available in Amber or a paired ink, those would generally be preferable; cards that combine Bodyguard with higher durability or additional value tend to outclass him. Overall, he is playable in budget or synergy-focused builds, but in optimized competitive decks he may be replaced by more stat-efficient or utility-driven Bodyguards i
