A deck focused on countering Pokémon ex would greatly benefit from including Bouffalant ex in its lineup, as its Gold Breaker attack can deal massive damage if the opponent's Active Pokémon is a Pokémon ex. However, considering the current meta and power level of other Pokémon TCG cards, there are likely better options for damage output and versatility, making Bouffalant ex less likely to see play in competitive decks.
