About Magus of the Mind

Magus of the Mind, Creature — human wizard, designed by John Stanko first released in Nov, 2016 in the set Treasure Chest and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This card would be beneficial in a deck focused on casting multiple spells in a turn, such as a storm or combo deck, where it can provide a burst of mana and card advantage to further the game plan. While Magus of the Mind can be powerful in the right circumstances, there are better alternatives like Mind's Desire or Aetherflux Reservoir that offer more immediate impact and consistency, so it may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
