About Blastoise EX 4

Blastoise EX 4, Pokémon - stage 2, designed by Kimiya Masago first released in May, 2022 in the set Expedition Base Set.

A deck that focuses on energy acceleration and disruption would benefit from using Blastoise EX 4, as its Energy Cannon attack can deal significant damage based on the number of energy attached to Blastoise. However, there are better stage 2 water-type Pokémon cards with more powerful attacks and abilities, such as Swampert from the same set, which can accelerate energy attachment from the discard pile. Blastoise EX 4 may struggle to see play competitively due to its reliance on coin flips for its Jet Stream ability and the presence of stronger alternatives in the Pokémon TCG.
