About Sprouting Vines

Sprouting Vines, Instant, designed by John Avon first released in May, 2003 in the set Scourge and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Sprouting Vines would be beneficial in a ramp or landfall deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it allows for consistent land drops and mana acceleration. However, there are better cards such as Rampant Growth or Cultivate that provide similar effects at a lower cost and without the Storm mechanic, making them more efficient choices for deck construction. While Sprouting Vines could see play in casual or thematic decks, it may not be the optimal choice for competitive play due to its higher mana cost and the availability of better alternatives.

Rules

06/07/13

A copy of a spell can be countered like any other spell, but it must be countered individually. Countering a spell with storm won’t affect the copies.

06/07/13

The copies are put directly onto the stack. They aren’t cast and won’t be counted by other spells with storm cast later in the turn.
