About Dawn PFL 129

Dawn PFL 129, Trainer - supporter, designed by Atsushi Furusawa first released in Dec, 2025 in the set Phantasmal Flames.

Dawn (PFL 129) is best suited for evolution-focused decks that rely on quickly assembling a full evolution line—particularly Stage 2 decks that need consistent access to a Basic, its Stage 1, and Stage 2 in one go (for example, decks built around rare Stage 2 attackers or combo engines that don’t rely solely on Rare Candy). It can help set up multi-piece lines in a single turn and is especially useful in slower or more methodical formats where consistency is key. However, in most competitive formats, there are generally better Supporter options such as Professor’s Research (for stronger draw power), Arven (to search Rare Candy and an Item), Irida (in Water decks for Pokémon and Item search), or even Rare Candy itself to skip Stage 1 entirely. Because it uses up your Supporter for the turn and doesn’t provide draw or direct board acceleration, Dawn is typically less efficient than modern search or draw Supporters, so while it can work in dedicated evolution-heavy builds, it usually does
