Aphetto Runecaster, Creature — human wizard, designed by Scott M. Fischer first released in May, 2003 in the set Scourge.
Aphetto Runecaster could benefit a deck focused on morph creatures or other cards that frequently turn face-up permanents as a source of card advantage. However, there are better options like Primordial Mist in a morph-themed deck, which can continuously provide cards advantage by manifesting cards from the top of the library. While Aphetto Runecaster may not see widespread competitive play due to its mana cost and more efficient alternatives, it could be a fun inclusion in casual morph-heavy decks.

Triggers when any permanent is turned face up, not just a creature.
