Ein Kontroll- oder Tempodeck könnte von der Verwendung von „In einen Kürbis verwandeln“ in Magic: the Gathering profitieren, da es einen vielseitigen Wert bietet, indem es eine bleibende Karte, die kein Land ist, abprallen lässt, eine Karte zieht und möglicherweise einen Nahrungsmarker erstellt, wenn drei blaue Mana ausgegeben wurden. Es gibt jedoch effizientere Karten für ähnliche Effekte in Decks, die sich auf Sprungzauber konzentrieren, wie z. B. „Unsummon“ oder „Into the Roil“.
