A deck that focuses on controlling the field through trap cards, such as a Traptrix or Altergeist deck, would greatly benefit from including Qardan the Clear-Sighted. Its ability to set a Continuous Trap upon being Normal Summoned and protect face-up Traps from destruction by the opponent's card effects provides strong defensive capabilities. While there may be other cards with similar effects, Qardan's versatility and synergy with trap-heavy strategies make it a viable option for play in the right deck.
