This Liliana of the Dark Realms Emblem card would greatly benefit a mono-black control deck that relies heavily on swamps for mana production. While it provides a powerful mana ramp ability for black spells, there are better options available such as Cabal Coffers or Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth which offer more consistent and powerful mana generation. Liliana's emblem may not see much play in competitive settings due to its high cost and the availability of stronger alternatives.
