A deck that would benefit most from Firebreather PFL 119 is a Fire-type deck that needs large quantities of Basic Fire Energy in hand for discard-based acceleration effects (such as Welder-style attachments, Blacksmith-style recovery, or Pokémon whose attacks scale with discarded Fire Energy), especially combo-heavy or explosive builds that want to guarantee multiple attachments in one turn. However, this card would likely be too slow or inefficient for competitive play because it consumes your Supporter for the turn without providing draw power or direct acceleration; historically stronger options like Welder (attach + draw), Blacksmith (direct acceleration from discard), Lady (search 4 Basic Energy), Professor’s Research (mass draw), or Fiery Flint (Item-based Fire Energy search) provide either better tempo or don’t use up the crucial Supporter slot.
