Soldevi Excavations would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on manipulating the top of the library and maintaining a good mana base. While it offers the advantage of scrying and producing colorless and blue mana, the drawback of sacrificing an untapped Island can be a significant cost. Depending on the deck's strategy and mana requirements, other lands like Mystic Sanctuary or Field of Ruin might be more versatile and impactful choices, but Soldevi Excavations could still see play in specific deck archetypes that can leverage its abilities effectively.
