A deck centered around a stall strategy or damage accumulation would benefit from using Shelgon, as its Rage attack becomes more powerful as it takes more damage. However, there are better stage 1 Pokemon TCG cards available that offer more versatile attacks or abilities, such as Salamence from the same evolution line, which has higher HP and stronger attacks. Shelgon may struggle to see play in competitive decks due to its limited damage output and vulnerability to common weaknesses.
