Plague Sliver would be beneficial in a Sliver tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, where the focus is on synergy and buffing all Sliver creatures. However, there are better cards like Crystalline Sliver that provide protection for the Sliver creatures, making it a more viable option for competitive play. Ultimately, Plague Sliver could see play in casual or themed decks that aim to showcase the unique tribal mechanic of Slivers.

If the creature type of a Sliver changes so it’s no longer a Sliver, it will no longer be affected by its own ability. Its ability will continue to affect other Sliver creatures.

Each Sliver deals damage to its controller (not to Plague Sliver’s controller).
