Lead Astray would fit well in a white control deck looking to disrupt the opponent's board presence. It could be useful in a deck focused on tapping down threats to control the battlefield. However, there are arguably better options like [[Pacifism]] or [[Oblivion Ring]] which provide more permanent removal solutions. Lead Astray may not see play in competitive decks due to stronger alternatives available.
