A control deck that focuses on gaining incremental life advantage and mana fixing would benefit from using Jwar Isle Refuge. While it provides a small life gain and the flexibility of producing blue or black mana, there are better dual lands available such as Watery Grave or Drowned Catacomb that enter untapped. However, in a budget or casual setting, Jwar Isle Refuge could still see play as a budget option for mana fixing and life gain.
