A deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures or has ways to easily trigger the Morbid ability would benefit from including Gruesome Discovery. Decks with sacrifice synergies or token strategies could make good use of this card to disrupt the opponent's hand. However, there are potentially better options like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek for more efficient hand disruption, so Gruesome Discovery might not see widespread play in competitive decks but could still be a fun and flavorful inclusion in casual or themed decks.
