The Embalmed Ascendant card would benefit a control deck that focuses on draining opponent's life while generating value through creature tokens. It could be a good addition to a Orzhov (White-Black) midrange or control deck that aims to grind out the opponent through attrition. However, there may be better options available, such as Blood Artist or Falkenrath Noble, which provide similar effects more consistently and efficiently. Overall, while Embalmed Ascendant has potential in the right deck, it may not be a top-tier choice for competitive play.
