A deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly and has a high density of powerful permanents would benefit from including Beastrider Vanguard. However, there are better cards with similar effects, such as Courser of Kruphix, which provides card advantage and life gain. Beastrider Vanguard may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limited impact compared to other options available.
