The Octomancer card could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on generating a large number of octopus creature tokens or has synergies with octopus creatures. However, in a competitive Magic: the Gathering environment, there may be better cards available that offer more powerful effects or better synergies with existing strategies. Octomancer could see play in more casual or themed decks where its unique abilities can shine, but in a highly optimized deck, other cards may be more efficient choices.
