This card could be beneficial in a red aggressive deck that aims to quickly deal damage to the opponent. However, it may not be the most efficient choice as there are better options available such as Lightning Bolt or Goblin Guide which provide immediate damage without the need for additional resources. Genju of the Spires could see play in a more casual or thematic deck, but in a competitive setting, it may not be the optimal choice.

A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.
