This card, Cower in Fear, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on controlling the board by weakening your opponent's creatures. Decks that rely on board presence and combat strategies would find this card useful to gain an advantage. However, there are better options available such as Damnation, which provides a more powerful board wipe effect. While Cower in Fear can be situationally useful, it may not see as much play compared to stronger alternatives in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks.

Cower in Fear affects only creatures your opponents control at the time it resolves. It won’t affect creatures that come under their control later in the turn.
